Once you activate “Disable” check mark for this line, users with this role will have no access to existing data projects in DMF.
Apply processing group to: This dropdown menu allows you to select whether the processing group permissions should apply to all data project or specific one (i.e., All or Table)
Processing group: This dropdown menu lists all the processing groups that have been defined in the DMF. You can select just one data project once “Apply processing group to” is set to “Table.”
Grant access to: This dropdown menu allows you to specify the level of access that the role or user should have for the selected processing group(s). Access levels include Role, User, and All.
Role name: This field is used to specify the name of the security role that should be granted processing group permissions.
User name: This field is used to specify the name of the user that should be granted processing group permissions.
With roles set up for processing groups, users can easily access and work with the data entities within those groups. By restricting access to specific processing groups, you can ensure that users only work with the data entities they are authorized to work with.
For example, you can use the “Disable” option in the “Setup of roles for processing group” to restrict access to a data project for a specific user or security role. This prevents unauthorized users from accessing job history and data project, minimizing the risk of possible data breaches. Users with required access can still download data to their local machines if an export job is assigned to export to Excel.
