Mode of delivery is not valid for item number XXXXX - Dynamics 365 F&O

 


Hello. I welcome you here. Today we will see and learn how to fix a bug "Mode of delivery is not valid for item number XXXXX" on sales order in Dynamics 365 F&O.

Problem

I have set up a call center, but I got the error message when I create new sale order: Mode of delivery is not valid for item number xxxxx. I try to add it but it is not showing in the drop down. 

Scenario

Go Retail and Commerce > Channels > All call centers. Add user in Channel users.

2. Go to Sales order for > Header >Delivery Fasttab > Mode of delivery. The list is blank. 

3. I am unable to save the record or move forward because of this problem.

Solution

  1. Go to All call center page, click on the Retail Channel Id and click on Modes of delivery

2. Mode of delivery is not showing inside it. Now click on Manage modes of delivery option

3. Click on New and create a mode of delivery. If you already done it and still is not showing, then follow next step.

4. Go to Retail and Commerce > Retail and Commerce IT > Process delivery modes. This is a batch job which configured mode of delivery

5. Go to Batch jobs page and filter your job by using job description as shown in below fig.

6. Once the batch job ended, follow the setup 1. This time, the mode of delivery will show on Mode of delivery

This will resolve your problem.
